Romanian tech leaders Bogdan Putinică and Alex Balint have unveiled Outcome1.AI, a new venture aimed at deploying AI 'Digital Employees' to strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout Europe. Officially launched on August 25, 2026, the startup offers AI solutions through a subscription model, initially targeting markets in Romania with plans to expand to Greece, Spain, and Poland.
Outcome1.AI's platform provides AI systems, each designated to a specific business role such as customer service, finance, HR, sales, IT, and marketing. These digital employees are programmed to perform tasks like handling customer inquiries, processing invoices, preparing HR documents, and monitoring compliance. Each AI is designed to operate within defined authority limits, escalating issues to human staff when necessary.
CEO and co-founder Bogdan Putinică, who previously led Microsoft operations in Europe and Asia, emphasized the predictability and reliability of hiring digital employees. "An SME should be able to hire work capacity with a predictable salary," he stated, reflecting the platform's goal to improve business efficiency while keeping decision-making under human control.
CTO and co-founder Alex Balint, with over 22 years of experience at tech giants including Microsoft, Amazon, and Stripe, highlighted the platform's focus on trust and reliability. "An agent that sounds impressive in a demo and one you can trust with an invoice are two entirely different things," he noted, highlighting the importance of strong, dependable AI solutions.
Outcome1.AI's platform is SOC 2-compliant and certified under ISO 9001 and 27001 standards, ensuring it meets stringent European data protection and AI governance requirements, including GDPR and the EU AI Act. The startup is supported by initiatives such as Microsoft for Startups, AWS Activate, NVIDIA Inception, and ElevenLabs Startups, and is committed to developing its own technology and intellectual property within Europe, based on controlled access and human oversight.
The launch of Outcome1.AI comes at a time when AI adoption in Romania is relatively low at 5.2%, compared to the EU average of 20%, according to Eurostat data. Moreover, a survey by ManpowerGroup in 2026 revealed that 79% of Romanian employers are struggling to fill vacant positions, highlighting the potential demand for AI-driven solutions to address workforce challenges.
