Dacia officially launched the Striker, its new C-segment crossover, on Wednesday, July 8. The vehicle, which combines features of station wagons, hatchbacks, and SUVs, is produced and launched exclusively in Turkey. Sales are set to begin in the autumn, with a starting price under €25,000.
The Striker enters a competitive market, aiming to rival models such as the Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Qashqai, Peugeot 3008, Mazda CX-5, and Volkswagen Tiguan. Despite the competition, Dacia representatives stated, "Dacia își consolidează prezența în segmentul C," highlighting the company's strategic plan to increase its C-segment sales from 20% to 33% by 2030.
Designed with a blend of horizontal lines typical of sedans and wagons, along with the verticality of an SUV, the Striker measures 4.62 meters in length and offers a ground clearance of up to 20 cm. Its aerodynamic coefficient is 0.29, and it features a trunk capacity of up to 600 liters, equipped with a modular floor and automatic tailgate.
The Striker is available with three electrified powertrains, including a 4x4 option, and offers a range of modern features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and the YouClip system for modular accessories. Additional amenities include a panoramic roof, heated and electric seats, adaptive cruise control, and a thorough ADAS package.
In line with its Eco-Smart strategy, the Striker incorporates over 32% of its materials from the circular economy and includes 47 kg of recycled plastics, eliminating leather and decorative chrome. The model is available in four trim levels: necessary, Expression, Extreme, and Journey.
David Durand, Dacia's Design Director, emphasized the importance of the Striker in achieving the company's long-term goals. As sales begin, the Striker's competitive pricing and innovative features are expected to attract a broad range of customers.
