Bistrița Night Run: A Dream Realized Under the Stars

Bistrița is gearing up for its first-ever Night Run, scheduled for September 19, inviting the local community to partake in a unique nocturnal running event. This initiative, which combines movement, nature, and community spirit, is a realization of Cristi Deac's long-held dream, spanning nearly a decade.

Cristi Deac, who has previously organized two editions of the Bistrița Trail Running event, is now introducing this innovative night running concept. "I've dreamed of this project for 8-9 years," Deac stated, expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming event. The event is organized in collaboration with CS Păduri Bistrițene and Marosi Zsolt.

This pilot edition of the Bistrița Night Run will be free for all participants. However, future editions may evolve into competitive events. The night run aims to offer participants a distinctive outdoor running experience, with two course options available. A 3 km route will cater to families and beginners, while an 8 km course is designed for more experienced runners.

Safety is a priority, with all routes carefully marked and participants required to wear headlamps. The event will begin at 8:30 PM, starting from Unirea Dendrological Park. Registrations for the event are set to open shortly, welcoming runners to join this unique experience under the night sky.
