Bistrița Hosts First Charity Fair for Shelter Dogs
The first edition of the 'Din stradă spre acasă' charity fair is set for Saturday, September 12, at La Castani in Bistrița. The event aims to raise funds for the Bistrița Public Shelter dogs, covering food, treatments, and care. Attendees can purchase pet accessories and interact with shelter dogs available for adoption. Donations over 200 lei will receive a voucher from ProPet Life.

Bistrița is gearing up to host its first charity fair dedicated to supporting the dogs at the local public shelter. The event, titled 'Din stradă spre acasă,' is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at La Castani. This initiative aims to collect funds to provide food, treatments, and general care for the shelter’s canine residents.
Veterinarian Roxana Șomodean, involved in organizing the event, expressed a desire for the fair to become an annual tradition. 'We want to make it a tradition,' she said, emphasizing the community's commitment to improving the lives of these animals.
Visitors to the fair will find an array of pet accessories available for purchase. Several shelter dogs will be present, offering attendees the opportunity to interact with and potentially adopt them.
As an added incentive, ProPet Life has announced that donations exceeding 200 lei will be rewarded with a special voucher. This gesture aims to encourage generous contributions from attendees, further supporting the shelter's mission to care for and rehabilitate its dogs.
