Fashion Island event transforms Bistrița's historic tower into style hub

This weekend, Bistrița's Turnul Dogarilor will become the active venue for the International Fashion Island, marking the prestigious event's Romanian debut. Set for Saturday and Sunday, the gathering will spotlight 30 designers and a blend of national and international models. Cătălin Botezatu, a notable name in the fashion world, will grace the event as the guest of honor, having suggested Bistrița for its stunning landscapes and welcoming atmosphere.

Laurent Tourette, a hairstylist ranked among the world's top ten, will also be in attendance. Preparations have been underway at the Panoramic Colibița, where the opening party will take place. Each evening, 15 collections will be presented, spanning children's fashion, sportswear, prêt-à-porter, and evening wear.

The event is anticipated to attract around 100 fashion industry professionals, and Turnul Dogarilor will open its doors to the public free of charge, with shows beginning at 7:00 PM. Bistrița City Hall has played a key role in supporting the fashion gala. Botezatu emphasized the event's accessibility, stating, 'The event is for everyone, not just officials.' He added, 'Bistrița residents deserve a fashion gala,' highlighting the community's eagerness for cultural happenings.

With its distinctive venue and wide-ranging collections, the International Fashion Island aims to elevate Bistrița's status on the fashion scene, celebrating both local and global talent.
