Mureș Paddling Caravan Returns for Its 4th Edition on September 19

The Mureș Paddling Caravan is set to make its return for the fourth consecutive year on September 19, 2026. Organized by Dragonii Cetății Alba Iulia, this event invites nature enthusiasts, sports lovers, and adventure seekers to paddle along a picturesque 20 km route from Sântimbru to Alba Iulia.

Participants of all experience levels, from seasoned paddlers to newcomers, are welcome to join the event. The organizers extend a special invitation to families with children and disabled individuals, ensuring that they can participate with the support of companions. A variety of non-motorized watercraft, such as kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards, are suitable for the event, and equipment will be available for those who do not have their own.

The caravan will begin at 9:00 AM from the Sântimbru pontoon, with registration and kit collection starting an hour earlier. The journey, expected to take between 4 to 4.5 hours, includes a designated break at the Drâmbar pontoon in Ciugud, where participants can rest and enjoy provided snacks and hydration. Upon reaching the finish line at Partoș in Alba Iulia, participants will be treated to a hearty goulash meal and receive a medal and participation kit.

To secure a spot in this popular event, participants must complete an online registration form by September 17 at 10:00 PM or until all slots are filled. A recommended donation of 75 lei per person supports the event and the promotion of water sports. Children under seven and disabled persons along with one companion are exempt from this donation.

The organizing team will be present along the route to provide assistance and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. With limited spots available, early registration is encouraged for those eager to take part in this unique paddling adventure.
