Major Waste Management Tender Launched in Alba's Apuseni Mountains
ADI 'Salubris Alba' has announced a tender for waste collection and transportation in the Apuseni Mountains' Zone 3 in Alba. The contract spans 99 months, with an estimated value of 53.7 million RON. Offers are due by October 9, 2026. The project includes two lots covering various towns and aims to meet European recycling targets.

ADI 'Salubris Alba' has launched a thorough tender for waste collection and transportation services in Zone 3 of the Apuseni Mountains, located in Alba County. This marks the first concession procedure of its kind for the area, with the contract set to last 99 months, encompassing three months for mobilization and 96 months for operational activities.
The estimated value of the contract is 53,714,625.28 RON, excluding VAT, which is equivalent to approximately 10,221,882.45 euros. Interested parties must submit their offers by October 9, 2026.
The tender is divided into two distinct lots. Lot 1 covers the areas of Zlatna, Almașu Mare, and Meteș. Lot 2 includes a larger region, covering Abrud, Câmpeni, Roșia Montană, Ciuruleasa, Bucium, Mogoș, Arieșeni, Avram Iancu, Vidra, Sohodol, Vadu Moților, Albac, Poiana Vadului, Horea, Scărișoara, Gârda de Sus, as well as Baia de Arieș, Lupșa, Bistra, Sălciua, Poșaga, and Ocoliș.
Recyclable materials collected from these areas will be transported to the Sorting Station in Galda de Jos, while residual and biowaste will be directed to the TMB Station, also in Galda de Jos. Special waste will be temporarily stored at the operator's local base.
The infrastructure supporting this initiative includes nine digitized ecological islands in Zlatna, each equipped with 1.1 cubic meter containers for four types of waste fractions. Additionally, a door-to-door collection system will be implemented for households, with free bags provided for recyclables and 120-liter bins for residual waste.
The procedure complies with ANRSC Order no. 98/2025 and is designed to achieve European recycling targets and support circular economy goals.
