Reșița delays Arsenal sa land auction, 17 parcels remain on track

Reșița City Hall has postponed the auction of a major land parcel owned by Arsenal SA, a subsidiary of Compania Națională Romarm SA. Originally scheduled for September 30, 2026, the auction for the 1.3-hectare plot is now set for September 30, 2027. The starting price for this land is 635,095 lei, or 48.85 lei per square meter. The reasons for the delay have not been disclosed.

Economy Minister Irineu Darău has previously highlighted improvements at Arsenal SA, including a new fence, a rehabilitated hall, and an upgraded workforce, all aimed at helping series production.

While the auction for the larger plot is delayed, the auctions for 17 smaller parcels, totaling 11,538 square meters, will proceed as planned. These auctions are set for September 30, 2026, with bids due by September 29 at the Reșița Public Domain Administration Directorate. Participants must pay a fee of 10% of the starting price to enter the bidding process.

These developments at Arsenal SA are part of Compania Națională Romarm SA's broader strategy to boost operational capabilities and output. The upcoming auctions are significant for Reșița, potentially impacting future economic activities and urban development in the city.
