Florești Fines Illegal Dumpers, Mayor Pivariu Warns Against Future Offenses

Two individuals have been fined a total of 90,000 lei for illegally dumping waste in the commune of Florești between September 3 and 4, 2026. The illegal activity took place in the middle of a field, according to local authorities. Smart video cameras were instrumental in identifying the culprits responsible for this act.

Mayor Bogdan Pivariu, addressing the incident, stated, "The commune is nobody's dumping ground." He has pledged to ensure the full recovery of the imposed fines and has issued a stern warning against any future illegal dumping activities.

To prevent further incidents, Mayor Pivariu has advised residents to employ authorized firms for waste disposal. He emphasized the importance of obtaining proper documentation to verify that waste has been disposed of legally and responsibly.

Florești is equipped with a voluntary waste collection center, which is available for residents to dispose of waste properly, including construction materials. This facility is part of the commune's efforts to manage waste effectively and minimize environmental impact.
