Cluj County Commission validates property claims, impacting local landowners

The Cluj County Commission validated a series of property restitution requests during a meeting held on Thursday, significantly impacting landowners in the region. The meeting, presided over by Prefect Maria Forna, was focused on addressing property rights and ensuring fair restitution processes.

The assembly, hosted by the Institution of the Prefect of Cluj County, included key discussions on property requests from localities such as Turda, Florești, Apahida, and Dej. These areas are critical to Cluj County's development and community well-being.

High-ranking officials, including Subprefect Maria Buzaș-Fekete, and representatives from various agencies such as the Office of Cadastre and Real Estate Publicity (OCPI), the State Domains Agency (ADS), the Agriculture Directorate, the Forest Guard, and the National Agency for Land Improvements (ANIF), were present to contribute to the discussions.

The commission's primary goal was to unblock property restitution procedures, particularly for agricultural, non-agricultural, and forest lands. Efforts were also made to address errors in property titles through modifications, rectifications, or cancellations of incorrect annexes.

A total of 23 agenda points received favorable votes, marking a significant step towards reducing bureaucratic hurdles and minimizing litigation risks. Prefect Maria Forna emphasized the importance of the process, stating, "The process of restitution and correction of property rights is carried out with responsibility, transparency and respect."

The decisions made by the commission are expected to have a direct impact on local communities within Cluj County. Dozens of residents will now be able to correctly register their properties or gain possession of lands they have claimed. This initiative aims to simplify processes and ensure rightful ownership, benefiting both the individuals involved and the broader community.

The meeting's outcomes are proof of the ongoing commitment to improving property rights management in Cluj County, with a focus on transparency and efficiency.
