Bîrligea's Potential Departure from FCSB as Frosinone Negotiates

Daniel Bîrligea, a key offensive player for FCSB, may soon join Serie A's Frosinone, as confirmed by Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB. Becali has set the transfer price at 5 million euros, a figure he confirmed during ongoing negotiations with the Italian club. "Yes, yes, that's right. It's true, we are negotiating. 5 million euros, that's what I want," Becali stated.

Interest from Frosinone emerged on Tuesday, August 25. The Italian club, recently promoted to Serie A, suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to Juventus and now seeks to strengthen its squad. Frosinone has shown interest in Bîrligea. The club pursued Florinel Coman earlier this summer.

Bîrligea joined FCSB two years ago from CFR for 3 million euros and has made a significant impact at the club, scoring 33 goals and providing eight assists in 80 matches across all competitions. His recent performance included two important goals in a 3-2 victory against FC Botoșani.

Aside from his on-field contributions, Bîrligea has also been vocal about his relationship with the fans. "It only affects me when my family is attacked. I want people to attack me, because I am a player, I don't want people to attack my family, my parents, my wife," Bîrligea said, urging fans to support the team during challenging times.

The potential transfer is being closely monitored by the Italian press. No final agreement has been reached yet. Becali's confirmation of negotiations indicates a concrete possibility. Selling Bîrligea for 5 million euros would result in a profit for FCSB, considering their initial investment. This price marks a departure from Becali's previous claims of a 10 million euro offer about 1.5 years ago and a 15 million euro release clause. The deal could be finalized before the transfer window closes if Frosinone agrees to the terms.
