ANM forecasts warmer October with mixed rainfall

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) released its weather forecast on Friday for the period from September 28 to October 26. Overall, temperatures are predicted to exceed seasonal norms.

From September 28 to October 5, temperatures are expected to hover around normal levels, though the western region might experience slightly warmer conditions. Meanwhile, the eastern and southeastern areas could be a bit cooler. During this time, rainfall is anticipated to be below average in the west, northwest, center, and southwest, while the southeast might encounter above-average precipitation.

In the week of October 5 to 12, temperatures are expected to be slightly above normal, especially in the west and northwest. In contrast, the east and southeast are likely to see temperatures closer to the seasonal norm. Rainfall is predicted to be mostly average across the country, although the west, northwest, and center may experience slightly less precipitation.

Between October 12 and 19, air temperatures are generally forecasted to be higher than average nationwide, with the most significant increases in the west and northwest. During this period, rainfall is expected to remain near normal, but central, southern, and eastern regions might see a slight decrease.

For the final week, October 19 to 26, temperatures are projected to slightly exceed climatic averages throughout Romania. Rainfall is expected to stay within normal limits across all regions during this time.
