Romanian Workers Can Verify Employment Records Online
Romanian employees can verify work history online via the CNPP portal. The system displays work stages from April 2001. Users can compare portal data with personal records. Errors may arise from undeclared or incorrect employer declarations. Law 360/2023 affects contributory stages for insured persons.
Romanian employees now have the ability to verify their work history and reported income online through the National Public Pension House (CNPP) portal. This digital service allows users to check employer declarations and ensure the accuracy of their pension rights. The portal provides visibility into monthly and annual work stages starting from April 2001, including employer D112 declarations and contributions to Pillar II.
Users can create an account on the CNPP website by completing a form and submitting it in person at a territorial pension house with valid identification. For those with a qualified electronic signature, the form can be digitally signed and emailed. Once approved, users receive an email link to set an initial password, enabling access to the "My data in public pension system" section.
The portal offers a detailed view of work history, including reported income, workdays, and conditions. However, it does not display the full tax payment status of employers, as the Romanian National Agency for Tax Administration (ANAF) is responsible for collecting contributions. Discrepancies in data, such as missing months or incorrect entries, can result from undeclared or erroneous employer declarations. These issues can be rectified through updated declarations.
Employees are encouraged to compare the portal's data with personal documents like employment contracts and certificates to verify accuracy. Differences may arise due to reasons such as unpaid leave or contract suspensions, which are not considered contributory periods. For periods before April 2001, the work book is aprimary proof, while missing entries require employer certificates stating the omission reason.
Law 360/2023 defines the contributory stage for mandatory insured persons, emphasizing the importance of declared income in determining monthly pension scores. Meanwhile, Law 9/2023 eliminates the need for photocopies, as authorities provide necessary documentation. Workers abroad should note that their employment data is evaluated separately under international regulations.
To maintain accurate records, employees should keep original work books and certificates and request official work stage certificates from the CNPP when needed. These requests can be sent via email or post to the relevant territorial pension house.
