UTCN showcases advanced technology at Cluj's Opera Fair

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN) is set to host the Opera Fair, an event dedicated to showcasing engineering marvels, from June 22 to 28 in Ștefan cel Mare Park, Cluj-Napoca. Part of the broader Opera Aperta festival, the initiative aims to demystify engineering and engage the public.

The fair will feature an array of projects crafted by students and researchers, highlighting innovations in technology. Robots await. Among the exhibits, attendees can expect to see solar-powered vehicles and 3D printers, with the Unitree Go2 quadruped robot serving as a central attraction that offers insights into advanced robotics.

A standout feature of the event is the display of Sol Invictus I, a solar-powered car developed by the TUCN Racing Team. The vehicle exemplifies the integration of renewable energy solutions into modern engineering practices.

In addition to static displays, the Opera Fair will engage visitors with interactive games, quizzes, and experiments tailored for all age groups. Activities are designed to provide a hands-on experience with engineering concepts. They encourage curiosity and learning among participants. The approach makes complex ideas accessible. By creating an immersive environment, organizers hope to spark lasting interest in science and technology fields.

By bringing these technological advancements to the public, UTCN aims to encourage a greater appreciation for engineering and its role in shaping the future.
