Bitget and UNICEF have educated over 642,000 children, parents, and teachers in financial and technological literacy. The program, active in eight countries, emphasizes blockchain and AI education, with a focus on young girls. This initiative is part of their second-year partnership under UNICEF's Game Changers Coalition.

Bitget and UNICEF expand digital literacy to over 642,000 globally

Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, stood at the forefront of a key educational movement, guiding over half a million learners into the future of technology. As part of a partnership with UNICEF, Bitget has reached more than 642,000 children, parents, and teachers across eight countries, focusing on financial education, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain. This marks the second year of collaboration with UNICEF's Game Changers Coalition (GCC), a project aimed at expanding technological education to young people in developing regions.

Bitget, recognized as the largest universal exchange platform globally, joined the coalition in June 2025 through a partnership with UNICEF Luxembourg. The initiative targets underserved communities, aiming to improve digital literacy and access to technology. Notably, the program's scope includes Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa.

The program is particularly focused on empowering girls, who make up 52% of the participants. This focus is important, as many young women in developing regions face barriers to accessing education in technology. Gracy Chen highlighted the rapid integration of technology into daily life, noting, "Technology becomes part of everyday life faster than educational systems can adapt.

What stood out during our collaboration with UNICEF this year was how quickly young people get involved once they are given access and opportunities." Thomas Davin, Director of UNICEF's Office of Innovation, echoed this sentiment. He stated, "Too many young people are still excluded from the skills driving the digital transformation that shapes today's economy.

GCC is a clear response to this need. The initiative brings together industry, governments, and communities so that the next generation has the skills, confidence, and opportunity to lead in a technology-based economy. Alongside Bitget, we are expanding to reach even more young people with the skills they need."

The curriculum developed under this partnership includes thorough modules on financial education, AI, and blockchain. These subjects are important as they prepare young people to participate actively in the economy of the future. The program's impact is not merely in numbers but in the transformative potential it offers to its participants, equipping them with skills that are increasingly in demand.

Bitget's role extends beyond financial support. They are heavily involved in curriculum development and the geographical expansion of the initiative.
